  • CAMPAIGNING
The main thing activists want to do, regardless of their issues or goals, is change something they believe to be wrong.
  • How do I finance my group and activities?
Alas, nothing in this world is free, and this chapter gives you some ideas for obtaining funding for your group and planned activities and the importance of putting together professional applications if you are requesting support from funding organisations.
  • How do I follow-up?
Once the event is over, it isn?t really over. This chapter gives you some suggestions on how to evaluate the success of your event and how to monitor opinions on how it went from a logistical point-of-view. This will help make your next event even better.
  • How do I get the message out?
In the age of the sound-bite and ever decreasing attention spans, this chapter gives you some ideas of how to increase the likelihood that your message will be taken up. It gives you insights into how the media works, and how to get the information they need to them. There is more information on this subject in the appendices.
  • How do I manage coalitions and sponsors?
In this chapter, we look at the strengths and weaknesses of coalitions with other organisations, at how to work with allies, and how to manage relationships between like-minded organisations as well as sponsors.
